Ambassador Bill Rogers recently visited Diamamue Konoquellah Township in rural Liberia, where he championed a message of love and unity to motivate youth engagement in education. During an interactive session with community members, Amb. Rogers learned about their vast clan—home to hundreds of thousands of children—many of whom lack access to proper educational facilities.
The schools in the area are incomplete, built from mud, and lack access to safe drinking water and quality education. The Ambassador inspired the youths, community leaders and other stakeholders about the changes they could collectively bring to their communities through his story of change using sports as a catalyst. He further distributed some jerseys and other sports utensils to the youths and the community leadership.
